In true Mercury retrograde style, I need to stop and retrace my steps.

Currently, Saturn is about to make it’s last opposition to my natal Mercury in the 9th house. At the first hit, I had massive problems with my web host which meant I had to quickly move my other site to a different server. I spent many hours agonising over what was causing the problem. Eventually things stabilized. At the second hit, I was completely bogged down with writing and extremely stressed. Now at this third hit, I’ve found that Google’s algorithm change on the 21st June has had some serious consequences for this site resulting in a large drop in traffic. This has really knocked me (backwards) but also caused me to reflect on the purpose of this site and what I really want to do. Continue reading →

I’m struggling with a summer cold, sneezing my way through the day but the sunshine is glorious. My marigolds and sunflowers have blossomed and despite my irritating cold and working long hours, I feel quite enthused with life. I listened to a terrific podcast with Kelly Lee Phipps – well two podcasts actually as the interview is split into two. Kelly talks with Benjamin Bernstein about his new e-book on the Jupiter-Saturn great conjunction cycle. I bought the e-book straight-away as I found the whole thing absolutely fascinating. Kelly is an engaging and knowledgeable astrologer. If you want to listen, check out episodes 211 and 212 of This Week in Astrology. I love podcasts and there are some very fine ones out there! Saying Goodbye to my Father – IC Reflections

I think I’ve been holding myself back from writing this but having just read Neeti Ray’s beautiful post  I find words tumbling in my mind, urging me to set them down.

Saturn has already touched once on my IC by transit and is still only 4 degrees away. When he turns direct he will make a series of oppositions to my 9th house planets and points namely Venus-MC, Saturn, the North Node, Mercury and then the Sun. I know without question that this is an important time and that the conjunctions that Saturn will make to my IC and South Node will bring endings.
