I’m aching for the light. Warm tendrils of sun kissing my skin alive enticing my freckles to come out to play. Soft fluffy clouds, blue, blue sky and acre upon acre of daffodils. I miss the scent of spring and summer, the apparent ease of life. Autumn Equinox – A State of Grace
We are dark and light, happy and sad, peaceful and angry, quiet and noisy, still and dancing. We execute things perfectly, we screw up royally. Sometimes I am filled with love and I smile at the world, some days I carry the weight of the world.
The Sun moves into Libra at 14:48 (Universal Time) on the 22nd September 2012. On that day we will experience equal day and equal night, hence ‘equinox’. Continue reading
Celebrate Your Sun
I haven’t seen a great deal of the sun recently. Over the past few years it seems that England has slipped into a pattern where we have glorious sunshine for a couple of weeks in April/May then we head straight into monsoon season until sometime in September! Grey skies are occasionally split to reveal the blue beyond. Despite it being the supposed height of summer, most nights I still sleep with two quilts, a blanket and a hot water bottle. Even as I sat thinking about this article, the heavens opened and mocked my desire to write about the solstice. Continue reading
