There seems something magical about this eclipse falling at midwinter. The Winter Solstice takes place as the Sun slips into Capricorn marking the return of light. In Christian mythology, Christ is ‘the light’ and he is the son [sun]. The Full Moon in Taurus occurs on the 21st November 2010 at 6.27pm (GMT) at 29TAu18.
The 29th degree of any sign is called an ‘anaretic degree’. As the last degree of a sign, the influence of the sign is weakening, blending almost into the next sign. Celeste Teal talks of this degree as having ‘defective vision’. Continue reading

Mercury has just began his flight through Sagittarius where he will stay until the 1st of December [2012 dates at the end of this post]. When I began to meditate on this in preparation for this post, all I could see in my imagination was Tigger bouncing around and singing :-

Mercury in Scorpio – Mining for Knowledge
Mercury enters Scorpio at 10.19pm on the 20th October (BST) changing his winged sandles for mining boots, he enters the dark world already inhabited by Venus and Mars.
Of course Venus and Mars in Scorpio brought us the tale of the Chilean miners and their ultimate rescue. Venus currently retrograde in Scorpio seemed to aptly describe the descent into ‘hell’. She also showed the growing love (Venus) that we found for these men (Mars) trapped in the darkness underground (Scorpio). Continue reading
