I’m late, I’m late…for a very important date…
Easter bunnies and white rabbits alive – I’m late with the cosmic tides! I’ve spent the last four days on my mission to sort out problems in my house which I mentioned in my post on Mercury Retrograde. Whilst Mercury was retrograde, I begun planning exactly what I wanted to tackle to make my home a haven of peace and started clearing out what I didn’t need. The moment Mercury stationed direct, I went into whirlwind mode – decorating my study, changing the whole room round and fixing up some other issues that had been bugging me. I also delved a little into Feng Shui, discovering along the way that my desk was in completely the wrong position (facing a wall with my back to the window) – a big Feng Shui no, no. I moved the desk to a so called ‘command position’, created a new altar and added symbolic representations of things I want to bring into my life in corresponding parts of the room. Much like astrology, Feng Shui is a symbolic language, one that communicates intention to the universe. In the Mountain Astrologer Aug/Sep 2009, there was a lovely article by Simone Butler on combining Feng Shui with western astrology. She suggests conducting rituals in different areas of your home that correspond to the position of the New Moon in your chart and connect to the Feng Shui Bagua map. I rather like this idea and I’m going to give it a try. I can certainly tell the energy in my study has changed. As I sit here typing, my back feels strong and supported by the wall behind me, I can clearly see both the window and the door and the room feels ‘right’. I am struck by a sense of calm. Check out Simone’s website Astro Feng Shui for more information.
So consequently, having spent the best part of two days covered in dust and paint and negotiating various power tools that terrify me (!), then two days clearing up said mess and managing to fit in a lovely Easter celebration, I’m running a little behind!
Here is the beginning of the cosmic tides for this week – I will edit in the rest over the next couple of days. Apologies!
Monday 9th April
Venus sextile Uranus – “All growth is a leap in the dark, a spontaneous unpremeditated act without benefit of experience.” ~ Henry Miller
Tuesday 10th April
Pluto stations retrograde. Give up, give in, let go, release, eliminate, shed, detoxify, exterminate, transform, transmute, change. Pluto intensifies issues around power, hate, vengeance and war. Find your power within.
“No one can make you jealous, angry, vengeful, or greedy – unless you let them”
Napolean Hill
Wednesday 11th April
Moon in Capricorn sextile Neptune – Your imagination becomes reality. A patient disciplined approach helps you to achieve your goals. Don’t give up on your dream!
Thursday 12th April
Venus in Gemini square Chiron in Pisces. Fear of commitment, being plagued by doubts, not knowing what you want for fear of getting hurt – these are all manifestations of this transit. Be kind to yourself. Aim to get clear on what truly matters to soothe the pain.
Friday 13th April
Last quarter Moon on the Sabian symbol “A Woman Entering A Convent“. Sometimes it is necessary to retreat to a safe and/or sacred space in order to contemplate. With the Moon in Capricorn, the emphasis is on maintaining emotional discipline. The Moon will also square Saturn and sextile Mercury. If you are feeling worn down, take some time to meditate or simply pray. Five minutes out of your busy schedule may be all the sanctity you need to re-connect with yourself.
Saturday 14th April
Mars is direct – Woohoo! May I just say, thank the Gods for that! It’s time to forge ahead with your plans. You may experience an increase in energy levels, a desire to get up and go. Get passionate. Get moving!
Sunday 15th April
Sun opposite Saturn – “A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.” ~ Christopher Reeve
