Full Moon in Virgo March 2022

Full Moon aspect patterns – Thor’s Hammer and Kite

The Full Moon occurs at 07:17 (UT) on March 18, 2022 at 27°Vi40′.

The Sabian symbol of this Full Moon is one that I wish it wasn’t. It’s A Bald Headed Man Who Has Seized Power. I know that the vast majority of us are going to leap to some conclusions about what that might mean. It feels uncomfortably resonant with our current situation in Europe. In a symbolic way however, this Full Moon Sabian asks us to think of the idea of ‘seize the day’ – carpe diem. If we dial down some of the anxiety around the imagery, and bring this symbol back to ourselves, it reminds us that our power is in THIS moment, THIS hour, THIS day. Virgo is ever practical, ever conscious of planning and organising. If we’re struggling, we could do as motivational speaker Mel Robbins suggests – count down 5,4,3,2,1 and then just do – before the mind has a chance to kick in with questions and we wonder whether we feel like doing the task ahead of us at all. Mercury, ruler of this lunation is in Pisces and along with the Moon’s opposition to the Sun and Neptune in Pisces, this makes for a potentially muddled, overwhelmed picture with a lot of emotional content on a slow-drip in the background. But it’s not about whether we feel like doing the necessary work  Virgo reminds us that some things just need to be done. Chop wood. Carry Water. Make the bed. Clean the floor. These tiny tasks are where our power lies. Small drops when joined together, become an ocean, a force for change. Under this influence, the small things matter.

I recorded a 45mins global astro-tarot reading over on my Patreon ($1 tier and up) where I discussed asteroids Odin, Compassion, Truth, Euterpe and Aphrodite in relation to this lunation. Click here to join my Patreon and listen.

Full Moon blessings to you all.
